Our community consists of 300 Independent Living Residential Units, a 33-bed (Medicare/private) Skilled Nursing Healthcare Unit, a 40-bed Assisted Living Unit, and 34-bed Memory Support Unit.
We are seeking compassionate, highly qualified full-time Manager of Assisted Living/Memory Support (AL/MS) to join our team to deliver excellent care for our residents.

The Manager of AL/MS is responsible for the overall management and success of the AL/MS direct care staff and ensuring team members provide excellent resident care in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
This involves ensuring that the care provided is both safe and meets the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities:
Implement policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
This includes developing and maintaining a comprehensive care plan for each resident, addressing any changes in their health or well-being, and collaborating with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
Assess each resident's needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement appropriate interventions to promote their health, well-being, and independence.
This involves working closely with residents, their families, and healthcare providers to identify goals and address any barriers that may hinder their progress.
Routinely resolve resident problems and concerns, escalating critical issues to the Health Services Administrator for review and action.
Assist with staffing plans, ensuring that the appropriate staff members are available to provide high-quality care for residents.
This includes recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members, as well as scheduling and coordinating shifts to always ensure adequate coverage according to budget guidelines.
Manage direct care staff to include accountability for recommendations on terminations, disciplinary action, training, and promotions.
Members of the team should receive recognition, annual performance reviews, and receive ongoing training and counseling.
Work closely with the Finance Department to develop and monitor budgets for the department, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and in compliance with financial regulations.
Prepare reports and provide updates to the Director of Nursing, Health Services Administrator and/or other members of the management team.
This information may include updates on resident progress, staffing levels, and any challenges or concerns that may arise within the department.
Requirements:
Minimum of High School Diploma and/or GED.
Current state license as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact State with valid Adult CPR, BLS/AED Certification At least five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in Assisted Living and/or Long-Term Care.
At least three (3) years of management experience.
Strong desire to work in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) Current COVID-19 Vaccine is required to support the health and safety of our residents and staff.
Effective communication with all personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public demonstrating excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
Demonstrate engaging and positive demeanor.
Follow verbal and written instructions accurately and timely.
Able to exert a minimum of 50 lbs.
